UBC Industrial Scaffolding Pilot Classes

Starting January 11, 2010 the Carpenters International Training Fund is holding six (6) UBC Industrial Scaffolding Pilot classes to prepare members for industrial scaffold work in Alberta, Canada.The pilot classes will be held at the UBC International Training Center in Las Vegas, NV. All members in this class must be journeyman scaffold builders with at least five (5) years of extensive experience building scaffolds in industrial facilities.

Gary Toth to Retire from Local 747

After 30 long years of serving Local 747 Gary Toth will be retiring at the end of the year. From the officers and staff of Local 747 we will miss the dedicated and helpful service Gary brings our local. Gary was recognized for his service to the Local at the Annual Christmas meeting this December. If you see Gary wish him a long and happy retirement!


Important Notice to All Members

Any member that has money in their HRA/Health Account

It has been brought to our attention that there are MANY Local 747 members that have money in their personal account (Health Reimbursement Account) that is not being used. If you have retired or are inactive you still have access to this money. If you are active, but not contributing to the funds you still have access to this money. You may use the account for reimbursement of co-pays, prescription drugs, etc.
Please be aware that if there is no activity in your account after 36 months you will forfeit the money in your account to the Funds.

  • Account inactivity is defined as not having deposits or withdrawals to your account.

  • Inactive members are defined as:
    Members that are no longer working at the trade, but have money in their HRA account.
    Members that are suspended

  • Active members, but not contributing are defined as:
    Members that are working at the trade, but are not receiving deposits into their HRA account.
    i.e.: City, County or School District Employees
